Born to be Wild

“You were wild once, don’t let them tame you,”  Isadora Duncan

Good evening wild-lings! Saying my weekend was uneventful would be a huge understatement. I had my shares of ups and downs especially with the shoot, don’t get me started, but everything worked for the better 🙂 . Hope your Monday is treating you well and you had a good weekend. The wild can be a very dangerous, mysterious and beautiful place. I personally love nature it has a very calming effect that is very enjoyable and in those moments you realise you are not so different from the wild.

Every creature is born with a purpose, they play an important role in the ecosystem cycle, even an insect as small as a bee has a great task. Yap! believe it or not without those stinging suckers the food we eat would be dismal at best, they pollinate the flowers of plants that both humans and animals eat. Crazy right? A honey bee is responsible for feeding you one way or another, sadly though their population is decreasing at an alarming rate. That’s a simple example of how no matter the intelligence quotient man has we are dependent on what the wild/mother nature offers. We are part of the wild, making as wild to some extent. Even how we choose spouses, part of it is boiled down to our evolutionary/animal instincts; that’s where tall dark and handsome for the men and an hour-glass shape for women applies. These are attractive aspects because by basic instinct you want the best genetics for your offspring.

We are born to be wild, yes civilization is amazing and man has done great things over the centuries, but remember everything has its price. What price are we paying? When you start managing everything, your life is lived to a minimum. Life is a phenomenon and you cannot manage it in its entirety. Though if you really want to manage it, you have to cut it to the minimum, then you can manage life. Otherwise life is wild and its impossible to completely cut out your wild side. You need some animal energy, being too sophisticated, too civilized is paralyzing; being wild is good in small doses, overdoing it is dangerous. one should always remain capable of being an animal, after all you are first a Homo Sapiens Sapiens. Still don’t believe me? Two words, feral children. One good way to get closer to your wild side is literally interacting with it, spend time outdoors interacting with nature every so often. You will note that animals are truly free because they answer to no one but their basic instincts that is intertwined with nature.

Keep Smiling 🙂
