HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

“Be at war with your vices, at peace with your neighbors, and let every new year find you a better man,” Benjamin Franklin

Good morning! Happy New Year! 🙂 I’m glad to have made it to 2017 and happy to interact with you guys. If you are new welcome to my blog, I hope to inspire you and give you amazing posts and feel free to subscribe too. It so that you will always know when a new post is up and never miss out.

My end of the year was awesome, if you follow me on social media (@simplysiro, literary for every account i.e.  facebook, twitter, Instagram and Snapchat) you saw I took a break (read vacation) and now am back. So I have a couple of things happening this year and thought why not share them with you guys. You made my 2016 very worthwhile 🙂 .  First, I’m back in school, yep I am pursuing my Master’s degree as of this year, funny thing my first class is today. I really don’t know how I feel, though, first weeks of anywhere new are always awkward. Secondly, I am now fully natural after transitioning the whole of last year. I mostly did protective styling to grow out my hair. So lovely reader if you want hair related posts let me know Or if you guys have tips do share 🙂 . I had my first at home wash routine yesterday and let’s just it’s a learning process and requires patience.

Finally and most important…my blogversarry is this month 🙂 !! I just realised I have two anniversaries in January.  I’m so glad I get to see my blog grow and hopefully not just in years but in my craft and followers as well. This year I have quite a few of interesting ideas that I want to incorporate and I truly hope you will enjoy 🙂 . So many smileys today 🙂 hehe. I am just so optimistic and excited for the New Year. I normally don’t make new year’s resolutions but rather try, keyword try, to use mantras. Basically, you think and even list what you would like to do that year and look for the common factor in all your plans. For example, you list to join a gym, eat healthier, go to church etc it adds up to self-improvement. So any time during the year when you’re making decisions you always first ask, is this going to help my self-improvement? I find this method of keeping your New Year goals in check because a mantra is easier to live by than a whole list. That been said I haven’t picked a mantra yet, but I will.

I hope you guys are excited about starting a new year, remember you attract the energy around you so be positive and stay far away from negative people and influences. To be honest, I am also a bit nervous too, but I won’t focus on that. Hmm, maybe ‘focus’ will be my 2017 mantra. Well, that’s all for this week and please share here about how your new year is so far and your goals for the year. Also let me know, here or on social media of things you would love to see on the blog this year. Have a fantastic 2017 guys :-)!

Keep smiling 🙂
