“Your dresses should be tight enough to show you’re a woman and loose enough to show you’re a lady.” Edith Head
Hey fam! I have missed you all very much. I was feeling a bit apprehensive about this post because I did not know exactly how I would tackle it, hence why I am posting it today and not two weeks ago. I sometimes over-think things, bad habit. Moving along swiftly I love cocktails and the attire that compliments them, cocktail dresses, it’s a closet staple after an LBD.
The cocktail dress is basically a semi-formal type of outfit which can also be worn to a black tie event. Their length, cut and design vary but they must always have a sophisticated look to it, you should look like you put effort into your look. I had a subscriber ask me to do a wedding outfit and I would consider this type of look to also work since a wedding is semi-formal type of affair.
2017 is already coming to an end! The year does move quick and knowing this are the times when there will be so many events and festivities I hope this outfit has given you an idea of how to put together a black tie type of event outfit. Let me know in the comments if you like such posts, short and on the outfit or more of a narrative like my previous posts.
